University Financial Officers
The Pennsylvania State University Office of the Corporate Controller is responsible for receiving and disbursing all cash and maintaining appropriate accounting records for these transactions. The controller is also responsible for establishing, promulgating and enforcing guidelines and controls established for receiving and expending all funds, ensuring that expenditures do not exceed budgeted resources, or budget parameters, and developing necessary programs for protection of the assets of the University and the insurance of these assets.

Other duties include: preparing the annual Audited Financial Statements of the University and preparing other financial reporting documents.

Schultz Wins Addison Award

Weidner Elected to Chair NACCU Board
Joel Weidner, director of information systems for Auxiliary & Business Services, was elected as the board chair of the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU) at the association's annual meeting held on March 11 in Orlando.

This year’s F&B Spring Retreat featured a high-energy presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, best-selling business author and respected leader in business. Dr. Goldsmith is author of “What Got You Here Won’t Get You There.”
F&B Welcomes Kofi Ofori to its Central Office
Beginning April 20, Kofi Ofori will assume the role of special assistant to the senior vice president for Finance & Business. Kofi returns to F&B with a variety of experience, most recently as a recruiting manager for Robert Half Finance and Accounting in New York. In 2002 Kofi was a purchasing agent with Penn State and was also F&B’s first diversity intern.
Amaechi Speaks to University Technical Service Employees
Over three days, nearly 800 staff members attended several talks by Penn State alumnus and former NBA player John Amaechi. The events were held in the Bryce Jordan Center's Founders Room and focused on the University's technical services employees.
