Framework
The Framework is an integral component of the Finance & Business Strategic Plan. It identifies F&B’s priorities and sets the direction it will take during the next five years. The sections shown are the main ingredients of the framework and outline F&B’s vision for the future by defining its mission, vision, and values.
The framework, like the rest of the strategic plan, is a living, breathing document. It is to be referenced during the next five years – and your input is vital in preparing it for that timeframe.
Please read over the framework and offer your comments, suggestions, and concerns. We will keep your comments in mind during further development of the framework and the strategic plan.
A message from Gary C. Schultz,
Senior Vice President for Finance and Business/Treasurer:
Finance and Business of The Pennsylvania State University is a service organization that provides support to students, faculty, staff, and the public. This administrative unit is responsible for the planning, management, and accountability of the University's financial, physical, and human resources. Finance and Business encompasses nine administrative areas and affects every aspect of the University, whether one is a student, faculty or staff member, alumnus, and/or a Penn State supporter.
This Web site, coupled with the Finance and Business theme – Quality Service. Quality People. – reflects our initiative to communicate better, both internally and externally, and to share important information about new initiatives. "Quality Service. Quality People." appropriately describes our vision to provide quality service through personnel that are deeply committed to the success of Penn State.
I am extremely proud of each and every member of our Finance and Business team and the support they provide in making Penn State a world leader "in the integration of teaching, research, and public service."
Please take a moment to explore the Finance and Business Web site. We hope you will learn more about the role of Finance and Business at The Pennsylvania State University.
Sincerely,
Gary C. Schultz
Senior Vice President for Finance
and Business/Treasurer
